Is this thing on? No, I get to choose the photo.....
Today I am writing a blog post. I have had a busy weekend following my day of working at home on Friday.
I can't remember exactly what I did on Friday but I'm sure it was much the same as every other day I work at home.
Alarm went off at 9 00. Pulled my Cath Kidston duvet cover over my head and rolled over for another 40 winks. Got up at 10 30 and ran a bath. Waited until water was at boiling point before adding bubble bath. Got into bath and simmered for half an hour. Got out of bath and got back into bed. Tweeted some amusing comments to imaginary friends. Sent some emails to my real friends at work. Time for breakfast. Put some homemade granola in a bowl and then took a photograph of it. Read another few chapters of my romantic comedy novelette. Read some work emails. A couple of them expected replies. Cheek. Don't people know I'm working at home. Read some blogs and looked at other people's photos of their granola. (None as good as mine.) Finished working day at 3.00. Had a little nap. Woke up. Watched Come Dine With Me. Ate a mars bar. Picked up London Review of Book - still in cellophane. Noticed was dated September 2011. Put back down again. Instead read Daily Mail on line. Wondered what I would have for dinner. Checked fridge. Checked cupboards. Empty except for ingredients to make cupcakes. Made some cupcakes. Took photograph of cupcakes. Ate cupcakes for dinner. The highlight of my day was when I had a phone call from me Traybake. Invited him up for tea. I am so lucky to live next door to TB. If it wasn't for TB I would be culturally bereft. The man has the intellect of a colossus and is almost without ego. Benefited from listening to the pearls of wisdom that fall from his lips. A delightful visit that was only marred by its brevity - 3 hours is far too short a time to spend in his company. After TB left made a mug of hot chocolate and went to bed for another steamy session with Fifty Shades of Beige. I really don't know what the fuss is about that book.

I don't think I could stand such an exciting life---still muffled by the snow? Thank God for Traybake then, eh? And cups of tea of course. And cupcakes for dinner---part of the new year healthy eating plan I presume...
My day was much less thrilling. Work 'til two, then home to the cat, who does not have the intellect of a Colossus but does have a colossal ego.

A pretty decent TB hagiography and another exciting day at the Coalface.

That picture? That's what I call soft focus. You look ravishing.
